There are nine different intelligences in total that Garner proposed (Dietze, 2006). Here is a brief outline of each:

Research has noted the traditional classroom reaches only two out of the nine different intelligences, the 20% that learn through verbal/linguistic and logical/mathematical methods (Gibbs, 2006). My goal as a teacher is to help reach the other seven by including multiple intelligences in my lesson plans. I can do this with your help!
